Tacoma’s Making a Difference Foundation announced this week that it received a $10,000 donation from Schroeter Goldmark & Bender in support of Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank.

The MADF is a nonprofit that’s worked within the Puget Sound region to help those in need with various programs, starting with Eloise’s Cooking Pot, which has provided regular hot meals and home-delivered food since 2009 in the East and South Tacoma area. While the food bank regularly provides for the region, the demand for food assistance continues to rise due to the increasing costs of basic necessities.

The law firm has long showed its support for communities around Washington, reflecting a shared belief with the MADF that strong communities start with meeting basic human needs, a release from the MADF said.

“Support from community-minded partners like Schroeter Goldmark & Bender makes a meaningful difference for the families we serve,” said Ahndrea Blue, founder and CEO of the Making a Difference Foundation, in the release. “This gift helps ensure our neighbors can access food with dignity and consistency during times of need.”
