Biweekly home deliveries have become an invaluable extension of Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank (ECP). In addition to operating an onsite food bank, ECP provides customized deliveries of food and pet supplies to approximately 500 homebound older adults and residents with disabilities. Many clients have special dietary requirements, and deliveries are tailored whenever possible to meet their individual needs.

The Home Delivery Program serves some of the most at-risk individuals in our community. Clients are unable to visit the food bank because of physical disabilities, financial hardship, limited mobility, or inadequate access to public transportation. All clients receiving home-delivery services reside in areas considered “food deserts”—geographic areas where nutritious, affordable food is difficult to obtain, particularly for individuals without reliable access to a vehicle.

By delivering essential food and pet supplies directly to clients’ homes, ECP helps reduce food insecurity, supports health and well-being, and enables vulnerable residents to maintain their independence and remain safely in their homes.
