There is much debate as to whether or not we should be gathering with family and friends this Christmas. Actually, regardless of which holiday you celebrate this season, people all across the nation and world are being encouraged to stay home, remain socially distanced, and bypass celebrations this year.

COVID-19 has brought challenges this year to most of us. People continue to struggle with food, rent, and other basic necessities. Social isolation remains which is also making it harder to get into the spirit of the holidays and enjoy the giving season. While we support social distancing and caring about others in the community and keeping everyone safe, we also support families deciding what is best for them.

If you don’t get to celebrate with those people who are most important to you, you can still enjoy the holiday in gratitude. There are still so many things to be grateful for as individuals and as a community! Be grateful for love, family, and friends and their good health and happiness! Be grateful for life and knowing God supports us! Be grateful for any and all blessings you’ve received this year, no matter how small, and focus on the good around you.

At Making A Difference Foundation, we count our blessings every day for being able to continue operating and helping our neighbors when they need us the most. We consider it an honor to have so many individual, business, and foundation donors and supporters that help us provide food and other necessities to households struggling to survive. We are grateful for all our volunteers who come from all walks of life with giving hearts. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. With so many people experiencing hunger, more so than ever, we are humble to have the food to give away to the community and help touch and improve lives!

All of us here at Making A Difference Foundation would like to wish everyone, our donors, volunteers, and clients, a Merry Christmas and a beautiful holiday season!
