We’re excited to announce that we’ve developed two new programs to help make a difference in the lives of senior citizens (65+) in our community! This includes two new programs: The Senior Dreams Wish Program and the Senior Supplemental Program.

Senior Dreams Wish Program

Whether it be a life-long dream, an immediate wish, or a renewal of a past experience or passion, we want to provide an opportunity to honor seniors, remind them they are important and give them the ability to fulfill a dream or wish that they may never get to realize otherwise
The types of wishes that we can grant are limited only by our ability to make them happen and the senior’s ability to safely participate. Here are some examples:
  • Immediate Need Wishes
Can be used for items that make life easier or more comfortable, such as a stove, refrigerator, air conditioner, heater; a water heater; accessibility items such as wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, wheelchair ramps; visual aids such as glasses and reading equipment; hearing aids; dentures, etc.
  • Life Celebration Wishes
Can be used for events or activities that are meaningful to the senior that may help them relive important pastimes or reunite with loved ones; family reunions, hometown visits, reunion with past friends, visits to places of importance to the senior, a chance to return to a career one more time, etc.
  • Bucket List Wishes
Can be used dreams that a senior always had but could not fulfill such as ride in a hot air balloon; throw out the first pitch at a baseball game; meet someone they always admired; ride on a motorcycle; publish a book; attend the ballet or symphony; take a honeymoon they never got to have; etc.

Senior Supplemental Program

In this tough economy, many seniors who live on limited, fixed incomes struggle to make ends meet and provide for their basic necessities. Our Senior Supplemental Program is designed to help these seniors who are in need of assistance.
Seniors can be nominated or apply themselves to receive a small supplemental income from MADF of $100 to purchase personal care and household incidentals. This $100 will come in the form of a prepaid cash debit card to approved seniors monthly.
Supplemental funding will be for a 12-month period per approved senior.
