We are currently experiencing a major food security crisis in our community due to the federal government shutdown and significant reductions in SNAP benefits. Thousands of families who rely on food assistance have had their support disrupted, and many are seeking food bank services for the first time.
To respond to this emergency, we are launching this limited delivery program to help households who are unable to travel to the food bank. This is an emergency measure, and due to overwhelming need, we cannot take individual delivery requests.
This is a one-time emergency food delivery program for households within King and Pierce Counties, limited to 15 miles from Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank, located on 3543 E McKinley Ave, Tacoma, WA 98404
Each household is eligible for one delivery only, and deliveries will take place November 1–30, 2025, in partnership with DoorDash.
Additionally, we are unable to add anyone to our regular weekly delivery routes at this time, as there is currently a waiting list of more than 1,200 households. We understand how difficult and stressful this moment is, and your patience and compassion mean so much as we serve as many families as possible.
