Making A Difference Foundation (MADF) of Tacoma, Washington announces its 2024 scholarship awards to fifteen students attending college throughout the nation.
For over two decades, the Making A Difference Foundation has been dedicated to empowering college-bound students by providing the resources they need to create positive change in their lives and communities. Ahndrea Blue, MADF’s President and Founder, emphasized the organization’s longstanding commitment: “Education opens doors to opportunities that can transform not only individual lives but entire communities. Through this scholarship program, we are proud to continue supporting passionate young adults as they pursue their goals and contribute to a better world. We believe that investing in their future is an investment in the future of us all.”
The Making A Difference Foundation (MADF) supports education by providing annual scholarships to individuals pursuing higher education. In addition, the organization collaborates with schools, nonprofits, churches, and other programs by offering financial contributions to their educational initiatives. Scholarships are awarded through the MADF Scholarship Selection Committee, with individual students receiving $1,500 to help cover college expenses, such as tuition, books, supplies, and room and board.
Aaliyah Boston
Aaliyah Boston – majoring in social welfare with the goal of receiving her Doctorate and then opening up her own practice in urban and low-income areas made up of black and brown doctors or doctors that grew up in poverty to reflect the community they are serving. She is attending the University of Washington Tacoma Campus.

Eligibility requirements include being a U.S. citizen, demonstrating a financial need, and being enrolled in an accredited college, school, or university.
