Ahndrea Blue, President and CEO of the Making A Difference Foundation, was honored as part of The Roosevelt High School Foundation’s 83-member inaugural class of Wall of Honor members. This first class of distinguished alumni and/or staff of Roosevelt High School culminates a nearly year-long process of input from the school and alumni community as part of the Roosevelt High School (1922-2022) Centennial Celebration.
Blue was named among the many Nobel Prize Laureates; Community, City, and State Leaders; Influential Educators; Grammy Award Winning Musicians; Academy Award Winner; Distinguished Authors, Actors, and more, included on the Wall of Honor.
All honorees are alumni, alumna, or faculty/staff of Roosevelt High School who fulfill at least two of the following characteristics:
- Notable professional achievement and career or military service distinction
- Service to society
- Service and support of Roosevelt High School
- Advancing racial equity and inclusion with significant contributions to changing racially inequitable systems.
Blue is not only the President but also the Founder of the Making A Difference Foundation (2003), a non-profit organization that makes a difference in the lives of others through funding economic sufficiency programs throughout the world; distributing scholarships to privileged youth, providing economic assistance to seniors and single parents, providing food (Eloise Cooking Pot Food Bank) and housing (Transitional housing program) to the homeless and low-income veteran families and providing gifts of encouragement to people through the Joy Box Ministry. She is also the president and CEO of Pinnacle Equities Investments, (2002) a private equity investment firm, realizing 500 percent of its assets within one year.
Prior to establishing her own business, Blue was the Washington State Governor’s Executive Policy Advisor and Legal Counsel; she worked for the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle as their Chief Operating Officer and was an attorney at law for Lee, Smart, Cook, Martin & Patterson, in Seattle. She has Bachelor of Arts degrees in African American Studies and Society and Justice from the University of Washington where she received quarterly and yearly honors. She also obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law and has a wealth of professional and scholastic honors.
